Medically Managed Detox
Care starts with a thorough consultation and remains closely supervised throughout withdrawal. Medication protocols are used when appropriate to support safety and comfort.

At Scottsdale Providence, addiction recovery often begins with medical detoxification. People reliant on alcohol, benzodiazepines, opioids, heroin, or other substances may develop a physiological dependence that can make abrupt discontinuation dangerous.
Professional supervision helps clients move through withdrawal with monitoring, medication protocols when clinically appropriate, and a plan for continuing care once the body begins to stabilize.
Care starts with a thorough consultation and remains closely supervised throughout withdrawal. Medication protocols are used when appropriate to support safety and comfort.
A secure setting with 24/7 nursing care helps clients move through detox with structure, compassion, and the practical support needed for the next step.
Clients with complex needs receive round-the-clock support from experienced medical professionals, including on-site doctors and nursing staff.
Detox is not only about stopping substance use. It is about recognizing withdrawal risk, managing symptoms as they change, and creating enough stability for deeper recovery work to begin.
Sudden reduction or cessation can bring tremors, anxiety, agitation, hallucinations, seizures, or delirium tremens without proper care.
Dependence on benzodiazepines, opioids, heroin, or other substances can create physical symptoms that need careful clinical oversight.
Recognition, monitoring, medication support, and non-pharmacological care help clients stabilize before deeper recovery work begins.
Clients are supported by clinicians, nurses, and addiction specialists in a safe environment with close supervision, nutritional support, and access to holistic therapies.
The team reviews substance use history, withdrawal risk, current health needs, and the level of care that fits the client.
Symptoms are watched closely so care can adjust as the body stabilizes and withdrawal changes over time.
Nursing care, nutritional support, and a calm recovery environment help reduce distress during the earliest days.
Detox is connected to ongoing residential, PHP, IOP, and therapeutic care so recovery has continuity after stabilization.

“SPRC changed my life completely! The staff is incredibly caring and they really do want to help people not only get sober but actually recover. I’ve been to treatment centers before and they just wanted my money. This place isn’t like that and it’s worth every penny. As scared as I was to enter treatment again, I’m so glad I did and I would highly recommend this center for anyone struggling with addiction and/or mental health!”
“Had an excellent experience and outcome. Staff was incredibly caring and invested in my recovery. All staff seemed to love helping people and were happy to be there for me. Houses are beautiful and comfortable and the facility is clean, modern and well taken care of. Felt like a family.”
“I entered treatment for primary mental health and stayed in the girls house for 4 weeks before leaving for surgery for an unrelated injury. The staff is very kind and supportive and helped me to address my core issues. I would recommend SPRC for substance abuse and/or mental health issues.”

“Amazing program. Very knowledgeable and insightful staff. Everyone is extremely helpful in the recovery process. Can be a challenge at times but is absolutely worthwhile for real recovery.”
“My experience at Scottsdale Providence was amazing. I wasn’t sure what treatment would be like or what to expect but the staff has been beyond amazing and helpful throughout my journey. They offer many tools to help out through recovery process. I started out at the residential house first and the staff there is awesome, extremely helpful, and very well educated. They have group therapy sessions that I found to be extremely helpful and have helped me out a lot with my social anxiety. I then moved to the PHP house which was also another awesome experience for me. The PHP program was also extremely beneficial and involves a more work like schedule to help with adjusting back into the real world. Both houses were a great opportunity to get to know the staff on a bit of a personal level and build relationships with other clients as well. The fellowship I have gained in treatment is just one of the many things that makes me want to continue on with my sobriety. I have built relationships that I truly believe will last a lifetime. I am beyond thankful to the staff at the houses and at the center as well.”
“This is my second home. This place was here for me in my time of need and accepted me back with open arms. I cant explain the how much I value my friends i expect to have for life here and also the staff who are like apart of my family. If you are looking for people who know how to treat people you should put this at the top of your list for sure. Much love <3.”
“This is a wonderful treatment center!! The staff is amazing, they really care alot. My experience here was great and they helped me so much!”
“Scottsdale Providence had a huge impact on the wellbeing of my mental health. They have BHT’s, clinical staff, doctors, and case managers at every level of care with a deep working knowledge on mental health and substance abuse disorders. Beyond being a health care facility, they care for each of their patients and present them with healthy challenge towards their old ways of thinking and living. Two weeks after my discharge, clinical staff and BHT’s are still looking after my wellness and encouraging me from afar. I highly recommend Scottsdale Providence. The housing is beautiful, the staff deeply cares, and the experience is life-changing.”
“Scottsdale Providence changed my whole life. I walked in completely broken, drinking and using to survive, carrying years of trauma and pain I didn’t even know how to set down. I didn’t know what I needed. I just knew I couldn’t keep living the way I was bc it was killing me. From the second I got there, the staff saw me in a way nobody ever has. They understood me. They didn’t judge me. Everything they do has intention. Nothing is random. There is rhyme and reason behind every group, every boundary, every tough conversation, and every moment they push you to sit with yourself instead of running. And honestly, the people you meet here… they’re a huge part of the healing. The patients are amazing bc the staff creates a space where everyone feels safe and connected. You end up being transparent in ways you never have before. You hear everyone’s truth. You share yours. You feel seen and less alone. That kind of honesty changes you. Most of the staff are addicts in recovery too, with years and years of sobriety. That makes such a difference. They don’t talk at you. They talk with you. They get the addict mind. They understand the shame, the fear, the spiraling, the survival mode. They know what it feels like to want to quit and still feel pulled back in. You just feel understood on a soul level. They didn’t just help me stop drinking and using. They helped me understand why I did it. They got to the root emotionally, physically, and spiritually. They taught me tools I actually use every single day. They challenged me when I wanted to shut down. They held space for me when I couldn’t catch my breath. Not once did I feel judged. I felt guided. I felt held. I felt like my life actually mattered. Scottsdale Providence didn’t just help me get sober. They gave me my life back. They gave my kids their mom back. They helped me find myself again. If you’re scared or feel like there’s no way out, I’m telling you from my own heart, this place is real. This is where healing actually happens. I’m forever grateful.”
“This place saved my life. I came in completely lost and full of fear. Dan Shawn Drew were especially helpful in figuring out what I need to focus on moving forward. I would send my family here any time. This place is family.”
