What is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is a therapeutic intervention used to treat conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, sleep problems, PTSD, stroke, concussion, and other neurological issues.

Just as a mechanic can assess the condition of your car, neurofeedback uses technology to assess brainwave activity. This technology provides insights into where the brain isn’t functioning properly, such as in dysregulation caused by trauma. It then uses sounds or visual cues to reorganize or retrain these brain signals to respond optimally. Through this process, clients can learn to regulate and improve the way their minds function and relieve symptoms of various mental health issues.

Neurofeedback evaluations can reveal if only a specific area needs to be fine-tuned, such as in the case of a stroke, or if certain neural hubs need to be treated, such as in cases of a concussion or PTSD.

Neurofeedback treats symptoms by addressing root causes. It looks for what specific brain pathways are out of harmony and then can apply a wide variety of methods and tools to specifically treat an individual’s issues.
