We address this complexity with an Integrated Health Model with Abstinence Focus which allows for sobriety to be established within a foundation of evidence-based clinical interventions, psychiatric care and resilience building.
Daniel Nichols, LCSW shares the philosophy behind Scottsdale Providence: providing individualized care that is supportive and challenging enough to help people grow. Treatment combines expert clinical guidance, an emphasis on personal responsibility, and a recovery community where clients build connection and fellowship together.

“Hi my name is Zachary Jacob charney schatz I attended Scottsdale providence recovery center and was able to immerse myself with an amazing sober community the staff are supportive and the program is great I've been to many sober living/residential programs and this one definitely feels the most at home to me for the most part everyone is around the age of 18-28 but there are some older people and there just as playful and loving and supportive as everyone else id like to give a special shout-out to my old therapist Emily and. My current therapist and program director Dan he really has a way with words I love this place and definitely would suggest it to others”
“SPRC is an awesome recovery center. The staff actually cares, The amount of services they provide is extensive. They have therapy I’ve never even heard of. There in patient program is extremely comfortable and places responsibility on keeping the house clean and not over doing it. They provide workout equipment for those of us who are active bodies. The techs know their stuff and even the clients are good people. It’s a judgment free area but they have accountability. They give you the appropriate tools for recovery for substance abuse and mental health. I highly recommend this center for anyone who is honestly looking for help.”
“I had the pleasure to do residential and PHP at SPRC. I have been to several other rehabs and I can honestly SPRC was the best one. I have learned so much about myself, worked on my trauma by doing EMDR and the therapist here are outstanding. The owner, Dan, runs 3 of the groups during the week which amazes me. I have never been to a recovery center where the owner is so involved with the clients, he also is a therapist for some of the clients. All other groups are runned by therapists, which has its benifits. All the staff are carring and will help you with any questions or appointments you may need. The best part is after you complete the program and become ulumni you are still able to be involved with the fellowship here. They have activities throughout the year and I look forward continuing my journey with SPRC.”
“When I arrived at SPRC I wouldn't talk or look up. I was beaten down and had no hope. After working the program I have found myself again. I feel joy and a sense of self that I never knew. Thank you to the therapist and the entire staff for your support.”
“I had an amazing experience at SPRC. The staff is extremely caring and serious about their patients recovery. They show you that the reallly care and genuinely want to help however they can. It was a life changing experience going to SPRC and hope to stay in touch with the staff in the future.”
“SPRC was an amazing program. I stayed for 90 days and really got so much out of the therapy groups and my individual sessions. The staff is supportive and caring while being extremely professional.”
“Scottsdale Providence Recovery - saved my life getting me through the hardest times. The team never gave up and I’m grateful. I have to hand it to Lauren Younger my case manager who fought tooth and nail with things like my Short Term Disability, Legal and anything that came her way.”
“5 years ago I stepped into SPRC and if I’m honest I had no confidence in myself and didn’t think I would make it. I did A LOT of self sabotage while there. I had already been kicked out of two other rehabs in the past and Dan could have very easily kicked me out for multiple stunts I pulled there… but he didn’t. They didn’t give up on me and I kept pushing forward. On Friday I just celebrated 5 years sober and free. Thank you SPRC for getting me through the hardest part of my life and giving me the tools I needed to get better. My life today is amazing and it’s a gift I will never take for granted. ♥️”

“I can’t say enough good things about SPRC. After years of putting off finding the right treatment for mental health, I struck a gold mine with this one. Each staff member is excellent in their own way, and everybody truly cares about each other. Would highly recommend to anybody needing to change their lives for the better!”
“This facility was amazing in every part of recovery, the staff and therapist were phenomenal. I would highly recommend Scottsdale Providence. They treat every individual unique. They truly care about your outcome and success in recovery.”
“Scottsdale Providence changed my whole life. I walked in completely broken, drinking and using to survive, carrying years of trauma and pain I didn’t even know how to set down. I didn’t know what I needed. I just knew I couldn’t keep living the way I was bc it was killing me. From the second I got there, the staff saw me in a way nobody ever has. They understood me. They didn’t judge me. Everything they do has intention. Nothing is random. There is rhyme and reason behind every group, every boundary, every tough conversation, and every moment they push you to sit with yourself instead of running. And honestly, the people you meet here… they’re a huge part of the healing. The patients are amazing bc the staff creates a space where everyone feels safe and connected. You end up being transparent in ways you never have before. You hear everyone’s truth. You share yours. You feel seen and less alone. That kind of honesty changes you. Most of the staff are addicts in recovery too, with years and years of sobriety. That makes such a difference. They don’t talk at you. They talk with you. They get the addict mind. They understand the shame, the fear, the spiraling, the survival mode. They know what it feels like to want to quit and still feel pulled back in. You just feel understood on a soul level. They didn’t just help me stop drinking and using. They helped me understand why I did it. They got to the root emotionally, physically, and spiritually. They taught me tools I actually use every single day. They challenged me when I wanted to shut down. They held space for me when I couldn’t catch my breath. Not once did I feel judged. I felt guided. I felt held. I felt like my life actually mattered. Scottsdale Providence didn’t just help me get sober. They gave me my life back. They gave my kids their mom back. They helped me find myself again. If you’re scared or feel like there’s no way out, I’m telling you from my own heart, this place is real. This is where healing actually happens. I’m forever grateful.”
“The staff at SPRC are absolutely stellar, they do an incredible job here of getting you the treatment you need and working with you on your own program.”
“I am incredibly grateful for SPRC. The staff truly care about their job and every single person who comes through here. I’ve never felt like just a case number. They are intelligent and good at what they do. I’ve learned a lot in every group and my one on one sessions with all of my therapists. They have also helped to set me up for success after treatment. I have felt supported and encouraged every day.”
“This recovery center changed my life completely. They have a direct approach and are really here to help keep you sober. I have never been to a treatment with such an amazing approach. I would recommend this treatment center to anyone struggling with sobriety and mental health.”
“Scottsdale Providence has changed my life for the better. I was a bit skeptical before I came in since I have gone to rehab before, but the difference between the first time and now are like night and day. The staff is highly trained and the complete opposite of pompousity. The BHTs and clinical staff are on the same level as everyone and I have found a family here. There are a variety of AA/CA meetings to attend and mental health meetings as well. I came in as dual diagnosis (mental health & substance abuse) and they have gone above and beyond with meeting my needs and showing me that sobriety and self-care is the pinnacle of a healthy, fulfilling life. I am excited to become apart of the alumni program so I am able to continue my journey and keep in touch with the people who have truly touched my life. I am eternally grateful to have given rehab a second chance and found a program that meets my needs and exceeds any expectations. I would highly recommend Scottsdale Providence to anyone needing help with substance abuse and/or mental health. We all come from different backgrounds and phases of life but have always been able to support and grow with each other. Thank you SPRC for giving me hope and faith again.”
